Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas

Villas with a view of the animals

Location

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas are located in the same location as Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Your closest park is obviously Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Blizzard Beach is also pretty close by.

Villa Options – Jambo House

Disney’s Animal Kingdom has two set of villas. The first are part of the main Animal Kingdom Lodge – at Jambo house. These were opened so that there were some villas when the original Animal Kingdom Lodge was opened. The villas discussed on the rest of this page are located at Kidani Village – still at the same location as the Animal Kingdom Lodge but next door to the main Jambo House. The Jambo House villas are a little smaller than Kidani Village villas and are not standardly available to UK guests. If you are interested in Jambo House villas, try contacting Disney directly. They’re found on floors 5 and 6 and studios, 1, 2 and 3 bed villas are available, with different viewing options.

Villa Options – Kidani Village

Kidani Village is the villas resort at Animal Kingdom Lodge, located adjacent to the main building – the share one savana with the main hotel, and have one just for the villas.

Dining

You have full access to all the dining options available at Jambo House (read about them at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge). You can walk or get one of the Disney buses between the two. In addition, within Kidani Village there is:

  • Sanaa – table service restaurant featuring tandoori and slow cooked meals. Visit at lunch or before it gets dark in the evening for a view of the animals.
  • Maji Pool bar

Transport

The main criticism you will hear about Animal Kingdom Lodge is that it is quite from the other parks – it has to be in order to place it on the savannas. Disney’s regular bus transportation is available to take you to all the parks, from the front of the hotel.

Good to know

  • Disney’s Animal Lodge Villas – Kidani Village are the only Disney villas (of those also associated with hotels) to have their own check-in lobby, concierge, luggage and valet services, separate from the hotel.
  • Kidani Village shares its Sunset savanna with Jambo house, but the Pembe Savanna is only seen from Kidani Village
  • If you don’t upgrade to a savanna view, there are areas around both Kidani Village and Jambo House for you to observe the animals
  • There are lots of recreational activities offered including:
    • Samawati Springs Pool – a zero-entry pool with a 128-ft. long water slide.
    • Uwanja Camp – Water playground with elevated rope bridges, geyser jets, and a waterfall
    • Barbeque pavilion
  • Plus you have access to all of the amenities offered at Jambo House (Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge).
  • As they could be a health hazard to the animals, no balloons, drink lids or straws are allowed at the hotels.
